Carol and Gary Rosenberg - The Book  Couple

From Manuscript to Bound Book: The Essential Steps for Success

Writing a manuscript is just the first step in birthing a book. Whether a writer publishes traditionally or embarks on a self-publishing journey, a manuscript requires quality care to join the ranks of bestsellers, award winners, and other well-respected books. With contagious enthusiasm for their work, The Book Couple clearly explains the various stages of the book-production process—from editing and copyediting to cover and interior design and from layout, proofreading, and indexing to all of the finishing touches. Followed up with a Q&A session, writers will come away with a better understanding of what’s involved in bringing a promising new book into the world.

Carol Killman Rosenberg, a seasoned editor, and Gary Rosenberg, a book designer and graphic artist, have had the pleasure of working together on hundreds of books for various publishers, including Avery Publishing, Penguin-Putnam, Square One Publishers, and Basic Health Publications. Individually, they continue to serve publishers and independent authors in their areas of expertise. As The Book Couple, they team up to bring their traditional experience to the self-publishing arena, offering their authors friendly and individualized attention. Because they love what they do, they make the process a positive experience for everyone involved.

Building a Business with your Book

Simple Strategies that Work

Join Suzanne Mulvehill, MBA, Author of Employee to Entrepreneur, as she shares strategies she used to build an international speaking and training company. She will cover:

·         Keys to setting up a successful business

·         Strategies for speaking at national and international conferences

·         Identifying your Target Markets

·         How to protect your asset

For nearly a decade, Suzanne used her book, Employee to Entrepreneur: A Mind, Body and Spirit Transition as the platform to speak and train more than 10,000 entrepreneurs and business advisors at conferences and events throughout the USA and Europe.  She coined the term, Emotional Endurance and developed a seven step approach to helping entrepreneurs overcome the emotional challenges to starting and running a business. To further support entrepreneurs, she wrote a 2nd book titled, Empowerment for Entrepreneurs: A 90 Day Guide.

Prior to launching Employee to Entrepreneur, Suzanne was a business counselor for the Small Business Development Center at Florida Atlantic University. She discovered that the entrepreneurs she counseled struggled more so with the emotional issues of starting and running a business than with the business issues. Suzanne’s discovery resulted in her being invited to write a cover story for Entrepreneur Magazine. She won numerous awards and twice was a guest on MSNBC’s The Donny Deutsch Show. Suzanne ran for public office in 2008 and after completing two terms of public service, she ventured into her family’s business, the tropical plant industry. She launched Miami Tropical Plants, an international plant brokerage company in 2013.

Suzanne has a Master’s Degree in Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. She has lived in Europe and currently resides in Delray Beach. She raises chickens for eggs and has three goats and enjoys making cheese and soap in her spare time. Suzanne is in the process of writing her first historical fiction book about her family’s escape from Romania with the assistance of the mentorship through the Meet Up group that Janet Lifshin and Mark Spivak host at Barnes and Noble in Boynton Beach.
